Travel to Isla Mujeres – restaurants stories

Posted on October 8, 2019October 26, 2019 by TravelToursInfo

Isla Mujeres, Mexico is a little, fabulous, tranquil little island located off the coast of Cancun. Its bright blue water, incredible coral reefs, sun yellow sand beaches, calmly moving palm trees, migrating whale sharks, Mayan ruins, and giant iguanas that move over your foot sometimes when you’re not looking make it one of the top travel destinations in the Riviera Maya.

Being surrounded by water means some of the fun things to do in Isla Mujeres occur under the water. You can snorkel and scuba dive all around the island and there are dozens of companies that will take you out on a scuba or snorkel tour to see many types of corral and colorful tropical fish including sailfish from December to June. From June to September you can swim with giant Whale Sharks and anytime of the year is great to swim in the National Park that’s filled with the MUSA Underwater Sculpture Museum’s sculptures. Most tours include lunch buffets as well as snorkel gear.

Feel the calmness and harmony of a space specially designed to pamper our guests; our hotel is the perfect example of a glamorous and classy decoration, where we take care even of the minimal details to ensure you to feel like at home. See extra info on https://hotelcasasuenos.com/.

Day Trip to Isla Contoy: Isla Contoy is located 30 km north of Isla Mujeres. This natural wildlife reserve and bird sanctuary is 9 km long and 20 metres wide and was declared a National Park in 1998. Isla Contoy is one of the most important areas in Mexico for nesting sea birds and sea turtles. There is a maximum of 200 tourists allowed to visit on a daily basis. A day tour starts from $75 per person click here for more information. Go Fishing: The turquoise blue waters off Isla Mujeres are perfect for deep-sea fishing, inshore fishing and spear fishing. The best months for sailfish and marlin are from mid-December through to July. If you enjoy tuna fishing the best months are between April and August. Depending on what type of fishing you enjoy the most, there are many charter operators that will cater for your needs, ranging from charter boats to private yacht tours.

You will realize once you step off the ferry, just how small Isla Mujeres really is. In fact, the only way to get around the island is by golf cart! Sure, there are plenty of beaches and shops within walking distance of the ferry dock, however, renting a golf cart for the day allows you to drive around the whole island in a short amount of time, and get you from point A to point B, much faster. There are quite a few different golf cart shops around the island for you to choose from, that are all affordable and convenient. One of the top-rated shops is Isla Mujeres Golf Cart Rentals. Here’s what one visitor had to say about her experience with this particular shop: “This is the ONLY company you should be renting with on Isla! Alex is the absolute best! Our golf cart stalled in the middle of a downpour and he personally came to get us, drove us to grab dinner and then followed up when our cart was ready. Completely unexpected and exceeded our expectations 100%. Thanks, Alex and the crew at Pepe’s, we will be back!!!” – Nikki
